Talk:Miniatures: Orks
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
- A "by then" source is galaxies better than an unsourced item someplace else. Especially with miniatures sometimes we have no choice as to move them back step by step as older sources turn up... Some of GW's minis have been on sale for two or more decades, making it quite difficult to pinpoint them exactly with the first shot. Just generally everywhere here the rule is: no change (except typos or grammar) without a source. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 11:22, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
- Every meaningful contribution is welcome. If you mean provisional dating for a mini I would recommend typing "</=" in the "release date" field in the template as done here. These individual articles are anyway at some point going to become the standard format.
- If you have a similar but not identical image of what you think is the same model (sometimes there are actually hard to spot differences) you can on no account connect it to a source that does not precisely show the same image. If you do not have a possibility to upload yourself the (presumably) best option would be to put up a note on the Talk page where precisely the image you would need can be found and do the rest of the preparatory work. After all a wiki is a collaborative effort.

These are confusing: There were probably 3 models by Imperial Armour Volume Eight - Raid on Kastorel-Novem but that book uses different images than the ones before and the two older models used different and conflicting names in the books before, see Miniatures:_Orks#2001 --Woodfighter (talk) 12:05, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
