Talk:Olethros
Timeline of the space hulk?
Im trying to figure out which ships got stuck to the space hulk, in what order. I originally tried the timestamps that show when first entering a ship, but those are completely erratic. Instead I have to go on the logs within the ship.
1. The earliest ship I can figure attached was the Red Ark, which detected a chaotic artefact on the asteroid. It's crew was hit with some kind of disaster and the Red Ark remained attached to the asteroid.
2. The next is Cadia's Hand, which somehow became attached to the Olethros after jumping into the warp trying to travel to Cadia.
3. Then the Tregrom, which came in direct search of the space hulk, they tethered to the Red Ark, then raided both it and Cadia's Hand (evidenced by the Tregrom containing Blood Angel and Cadia's 22nd Regiment wargear). While moving the skeleton of a massive tyranid, they awoke the nesting Tyranids who swarmed the ship.
4. Next is the Caliban's Will (the strangeness of this ship entering the warp thousands of years, yet just now hitting the space hulk can be attributed to the way time works (or better yet, doesn't work) in the Warp). The space marines onboard fought this (to them) new and unknown xenos threat as best they could, but they were killed to a man. The tyranids then managed to enter the ship's gene-seed vault and assimilate the genetic code of the Dark Angels.
5. Then there is the the PowerXL ship, as it detected both the Red Ark and the Caliban's Will. The PowerXL ship became trapped when something in the space hulk caused it's generators (and thus its defense systems) to fail and allowed the tyranids to swarm the ship.
6. I would say next is the Sanctum Imperator, who crashed into it while trying to travel to the Cexis VII system. The Black Templars onboard discovered what happened to Caliban's Will and erected the shield around it to trap the Astartes enhanced genestealers within it and keep more genestealers from getting access to that gene-seed stock. (I cannot tell for sure if the Sanctum Imperator, or the PowerXL became stuck first).
7. I cannot discern when the Norn's Ghost became stuck. All of its logs just refer to the psykers of a certain batch it intended to sacrifice to the golden throne. Despite being uncorrupted and in stasis, some outside psychic power caused the psykers of this group became stronger and stronger, eventually somehow causing misfortune across the ship including: destabilizing a power plant, killing all the Navigators, and making the Lord Inquisitor vanish, as well as possibly killing all other psykers not of their "batch". This psychic influence could have been either the astartes enhanced genestealers, or this unknown chaotic artefact.
Im still searching the space hulk for more ships logs, but I am decently certain I have uncovered them all. --TheNuclearSoldier (talk) 00:41, 23 April 2018 (MDT)
