Talk:Sons of the Phoenix
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Notes
Removed the Notes section that stated "The Sons of the Phoenix bear many similarities to the pre-Heresy Emperor's Children including an association with the mythical phoenix, a similar chapter symbol, and a partial purple/gold color scheme." since that's just fan speculation and going by the logic should Angels Encarmine have a Notes section mentioning that their name and red colours have many similarities with Angron who was known as the Red Angel, or Notes for the Sons of Jaghatai that mention that their colours and use of the alpha symbol bear many similarities to the pre-Heresy Alpha Legion, or at least to how they are depicted in Index Astartes IV. - I think the information from the notes should be kept as it is, it's not to be considered as oficcial canon information merely observations of an editor regarding the colour and name of the chapters.--Drakemander (talk)
- I still say that that information is not worth having on the page and if we have it should we do the same with other chapters that have some colour and/or name similarities with Traitor Legions since we should not mark out the Sons of the Phoenix as the only one with such a Note. - I also find this kind of notes very problematic. Pure colours and sth as ubiquitous as Phoenix symbology without any further backup than visuals... --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 11:19, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
- I removed it since it has not been backed up with sth more tangible in the meantime. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 14:37, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
