The Tormageddon Monstrum Rex is a Chaos warship, that took part in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade and often appeared in clashes with the Tanith First and Only Regiment.[1][2][3]
History
It served as the flagship for a flotilla which breached an Imperial blockade to allow a massive Chaos-invasion on Heredot. The Rex was described as acting aggressively and flooding the communications by both electonicalls and astropathically screaming its name.[1]
The warship then later shadowed The Highness Ser Armaduke and observed the Tanith First and Only's landing on Salvation's Reach without engaging.[2] The Tormageddon Monstrum Rex later provided assistance to the Imperial vessel The Highness Ser Armaduke to fight off a cannibalistic chaos boarding-attack. Through this The Hightness Ser Armaduke remained preserved, with the two chaos agents (Dalin and Yoncy Criid/Kolea) on board. As a secondary result of this, Colonel-Commissar Gaunt was- not for the first time- accused of being touched by the warp.[3]
The Rex was also present at Gaunt's successful false-flag-operation to demolish the laboratories, which drove wedges of mistrust between the Chaos Warbands- most especially against Anakwanar Sek and his warforce, the Sons of Sek. It would be seen standing on Sek's side again while pursuing the infiltrating force of Gaunt's Ghosts.[3]
Notes
It remains to speculation whether the ship contains reliquia of the demon or is linked to or even conducted by the demon itself. The classification of the ship is not officially specified but based on the observations by its imperial counterparts, would fit into the role of a capital ship like a battleship.
