Tan was a world of the Imperium that was destroyed by Hive Fleet Kraken.[1]
After the fall of Sotha, the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Kraken attacked and eventually consumed the planet Tan. During the invasion the Scythes of the Emperor guarded the orbital stations above Tan as citizens, evacuated from the planet, arrived at the stations. When the Tyranids attacked the orbital stations, the Scythes fought the xenos, buying time for the citizens to board ships that would take them out of the system.[1]
