I went back to the drawing board and started from scratch, and found, i think, a much more elegant solution which combines the flexibility of a gallery and the advantage of the packed gallery view --Siegfriedfr (talk) 22:48, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

Two points.
  • Two of the images (the third and fourth ones) are not being displayed on my phone (I don’t know if that’s something on my end or not but it’s worth checking).
probably a browser or addblocker issue. mobile lexi doesn't work well with addblocks. --Siegfriedfr (talk) 16:47, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
  • What exactly was wrong with the packed image gallery or whatever it’s called (the one used in the Red Hunters article - it’s the standard gallery template I usually use). KazilDarkeye (talk) 11:25, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
i like the idea of a standardized galleries look for the lexicanum, which can be monitored From a single template, instead of Multiple attempts with variying levels of readability (especially on mobile)
Regarding the packed mode of <gallery> it really doesnt look good most of the time when people try to pack many little images together, and i think a template to organize the chaos would help. it does work well in the example you've shown tho, when properly used, ie a somewhat big image with a sizeable description ––Siegfriedfr (talk) 16:47, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
