The Temple of Dorn contains the Black Templars' most precious relics and it is located within the Chapter's flagship, the Eternal Crusader.[1a]

Description

Among the relics the Temple contains are fragments of the Primarch Rogal Dorn's own armour, the Black Sword of Sigismund, the helm of Castellan Adamus who slew the Tetragorghon of Tholosk and the banner born aloft by Captain Navarre during the final battle of the Age of Apostasy. When not in use, the relics are hung in suspensor fields, amidst the sombre black marble and stone of the Temple.[1a]

It also contains the Scriptorum of Truths, which replaces the Librarius most other Chapters have. The enormous archive is an annex to the Temple and is a repository for the Imperial Creed, and for millennia of the Black Templars' history. Couched in terms of allegory, parable and apocrypha, the lore contained by the Scriptorum would require many mortal lifetimes to read in its entirety. The archive is the sovereign territory of the Chapter's Chaplains and rumour has it the Black Templars records have been periodically purged over the millennia. What validity there is to such whispers, or what history and ancient truths the Chapter may have lost, is unknown. Yet it remains all too likely that the Black Templars have chosen fanaticism, in the name of spiritual purity, over fact more than once during their eternal crusade.[1b]
