The Ballad of Trooper Thom is a wistful folk song originating from the realm of Ultramar. It tells the story of a dying soldier of the Five Hundred Worlds regaling a pretty nurse with the beauty of the homeworld he would never see again. Nowadays it is seldomly played. Some think it is in poor taste to sing about Calth’s former glories from before the treachery that had ravaged it.^[1]
