The Renegade Wars

The Renegade Wars were fought by the cursed Crimson Sabres in the years 929-938.M41[1a] against numerous Chaos Cults and Chaos Space Marine Warbands, as the recently declared Excommunicate Traitoris Chapter sought to martyr themselves through slaying the hordes of traitors within the Eye of Terror. By doing so, they hoped to redeem their honour and gain forgiveness from the Imperium, who they felt had wrongly turned against them.[1b]
Among the known Warbands that were defeated by the Crimson Sabres in the Eye of Terror were the Black Skulls, Bragza's Fell-handed, The Cleaved, the Grimhunters, the Tainted Souls and the Tatterskulls.[1a]
