The Vessel
The Vessel is a Daemonhost which acts as a familiar for Ahzek Ahriman.[1]
Only Ahriman knows the nature of the creature that is bound within The Vessel, but wherever it goes a sense of crawling power and intense paranoia afflicts all those in its presence alongside hallucinations and mutations. Differing from most Daemomhosts, The Vessel is bound only with trailing links of the lightest silver chains and small – almost elegant – padlocks painted with delicate Tzeentchian sigils. It wears a veil of fine chain that obscures its features, and flowing, diaphanous garb in vivid blue hues. It wears a veil that hides its needle-sharp teeth and is equipped with monstrous claws.[1]
The Familiar serves as a direct proxy for Ahriman where he isn't physically present, with the Sorcerer being able to see and talk through the creature. When Ahriman is not in direct control the Vessel murmurs in a softer register— seductive, coaxing, hinting that the bindings tying it to its master may be negotiable.[1]
The creature has since been deployed as Ahriman's herald to Mordian, alongside Magister Khethos Vorsch, where it serves as silent herald, observing Magister Vorsch and nudging events in its favour.[1]
