The Thunderbolt Dropship is a common Imperial dropship type.[1]

Description
The Thunderbolt can carry a large numbers of troops and vehicles into battle. For example, it can deploy four Land Raiders, who disembark in around 90 seconds.[1]
The Thunderbolt is protected by a power field and armed with a turreted plasma cannon. Due to its limited manoeuvre control upon battlefield approach, the prospective landing site for a Thunderbolt must be carefully chosen.[1]
