Tiamastus was a Salamanders Saturnine Terminator, who took part in the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy.[1b]

History

He was among the Salamanders' forces that fought on Isstvan V to put an end to Warmaster Horus' rebellion. Like all of his Legion's forces, Tiamastus was charged with attacking the portion of the Traitors' Fortress, on the Urgall Plateau, which was defended by the Death Guard. In the mayhem of the battle, though, Tiamastus and his fellow Saturnine Terminator Vort, found themselves separated from the rest of their Legion. The two continued to follow their orders, however, and fought the Death Guard as they advanced upon the Fortress. Eventually they encountered the Salamanders Legionary Maraeus Orasus and saved his life, just as he was about to be killed by the Traitor Legion.[1a]

After learning that Orasus was the only survivor of his squadron, Tiamastus ordered the Legionary to join them and the three continued to fight their way to the Fortress.[1a] They were able to meet up with other Salamanders near their objective, but the Death Guard soon launched a counter attack. However, the Traitor Legion used toxic gas canisters to disperse a mist to cover their advance. Shortly after the three Salamanders were engulfed by the mist, Tiamastus sensed something and signaled the others to stop, while he scanned the mist. Mere seconds later though, the Saturnine Terminator was beheaded by the Death Guard's Primarch, Mortarion, who then killed Vort as well. Orasus was about to be the next to die, when the Salamanders' Primarch, Vulkan, appeared and blocked his traitorous brother's blow.[1b]
