Tjaras Grunli
Tjaras Grunli was a Legionary in the Space Wolves Legion, who took part in the Horus Heresy's Siege of Terra.[1]
History
He was among the Imperials, however, who were unable to retreat into the Sanctum Imperialis, before it sealed its doors. This left Grunli and other such Imperials facing the overwhelming numbers of Warmaster Horus' Traitor forces. The Space Wolf would join with other Legionaries and Imperial Army survivors, though, and they fought the Death Guard in the Imperial Palace's Irenic Barbican. In time, the Imperials were overwhelmed by the Traitor Legion and one by one Grunli's comrades met their end, until only he remained. The wrathful Space Wolf would reap a heavy toll amongst the Death Guard for this, however, until Grunli was mortally wounded by the Traitor Vorx. Instead of killing him, though, Vorx and the Death Guard moved on and left the dying Space Wolf for the Daemons and Cultist Haruspices that followed them.[1]
His possibly zombified corpse is later discovered by the White Scars after the battle.[2]
