Toxiphage

An exceptionally advanced defensive augmetic, the Toxiphage, also known as the Death-cheater or the Tox-blocker, is a bodily modification[1] of the throat[2] that can detect poison in the body of its user and neutralise it via the release of chemicals into the bloodstream. In cases where the poison is administered in secret, the Toxiphage issues a silent warning to its user.[1] It can also neutralise the effects of alcoholic beverages and anything stronger than caffeine.[2]
The Toxiphage is used by powerful Highborn to protect against poisonous attacks and is also given as standard issue to Astra Militarum Officers deployed against Drukhari and Tyranid forces.[1] It is also used by addicts to fight their addiction.[2]
