Trygg is an Imperial Hive World in the Pyremoat System.[1]
History
As the Fourth Tyrannic War rages, Trygg acts as a vital stronghold and safeguard, that protects the Pyremoat System from a Tyranid invasion. However this was almost undone, when an investigation into a missing Munitorum survey vessel and its Mordian Iron Guard escort, led the Ultramarines Captain Sevastus Acheran to discover that Trygg had been infested by a Genestealer Cult. The Hive World's primary Hive was the source of the infestation and it had begun an uprising when Acheran's strike force arrived on Trygg. This rebellion threatened to spread across the world and also called the Tyranids to the Pyremoat System as well.[1]
This led Captain Acheran to engage the primary Hive's anti-atomic lockdown protocols, which sealed his strike force and the Genestealer Cult within the Hive. By doing so, Acheran aided in greatly reducing the Cult's reach and prevented it from using the primary Hive to disrupt Trygg's defenses, when the Tyranids arrived in the Pyremoat System. But this left the Ultramarines strike force to face a nearly endless tide of enraged Cultists. What followed was a series of desperate battles, which wore down the Ultramarines. When Imperial reinforcements later arrived, they discovered that Acheran, his decorated Lieutenant Chairon and the entire strike force had been slain by the Genestealer Cult.[1]
The Ultramarines' sacrifice though, allowed the Imperial reinforcements to purge Trygg of the Genestealer Cult's remains. This not only saved the Hive World from the Tyranids, but also certainly its entire Sector as well.[1]
