History
He resides on the Ork World Sumerica IV, which was also home to the Warlord Gorkamesh. The Warlord was originally of little importance, until he sought out a way to fight forever. This led him on a quest to locate Ugnapishgit, who informed the Warlord that his answer lay on the other side of the Galaxy. However the Weirdboy warned that Gorkamesh would have to fight his way there to reach it. This led the Warlord to launch a Waaagh! from Sumerica IV, but Gorkamesh was later killed by the Imperium's forces in[1] the Dark Crusade's Gathrog Campaign.[2]
Trivia
- Ugnapishgit, Gorkamesh and Sumerica IV were created for the Dark Crusade Campaign by the Hobby Center staff of Games Workshop's 8th Street - Manhattan store[1] in New York's Greenwich Village, New York, USA.[3]
- Ugnapishgit's name is likely a reference to Utnapishtim, a legendary king of Shuruppak in the ancient civilisation of Sumer (hence Sumerica IV).
