Long-term reader of all things WH40K. Partial to the Horus Heresy and the Primarchs' collective stories.
At the turn of the millennium, I got to read some codexes lended to me by a friend (he never got them back, but didn't seem to miss them either). Among these were Codex Imperialis, Codex Imperial Guard and most importantly, Codex Chaos. All of these 2nd Edition codexes. This led me to purchase the codex of what would become my first favorite faction, the Space Wolves, and after that, I was hooked.
Since then, I dove into the world, mainly by playing the video games. Warhammer 40k Chaos Gate started it, briefly tried my hand at Space Hulk Vengeance of the Blood Angels at a friend's house... and then it just went on and on with games like Dawn of War and Boltgun (that last one, I even streamed on TWITCH).
Around the time I met my ex, I began reading the expanded universe novels, but it wasn't until I got to the Horus Heresy series that I was completely sold. I began reading them on the toilet, at work, at my ex's place, I even read them when I went for walks(!)... (not a recommended passtime, btw. Crosswalks are dangerous)
Now I spend every waking moment whenever I go from place to place listening to the audiobooks of the Horus Heresy, making use of the non-spoiler reading chart of the Black Librarium. The Horus Heresy sort of opened me up to how big the world was; after that, I was just not going to let go and I have been passionate about the lore ever since. I visit Lexicanum on a regular basis and always realize that there is so much more to discover.
My aim with this editor account, while I would like to contribute with some creativity at times, is mostly to do correctional work; I notice a mistake in text and I strive to fix it. Corrections tend to be a passion of mine as well.
