Griffe du Fléau

(Redirected from User:Xporc/Griffe du Fléau)
La Griffe du Fléau, Khorne side.[4]

La Griffe du Fléau was a diorama exhibited at the French editions of Games Day 2003 and 2004, depicting a battle between Chaos and Imperial forces on the planet of Talaris II.[1][2]

Overview

During the 13th Black Crusade, a ship of unknown Warp signature entered the Cadian system. It was detected by the augurs of Admiral Impegor, who sent Fleet Esperento after it, considering it came from the Eye of Terror.[1][2]

The signature turned out to be a massive, cathedral-sized drop pod dedicated to all four Gods of Chaos, under the command of Dark Apostle Iskandrax, a devout follower of Tchar, Onogal, Kharnath and Shornaal. After its landing on the ground of planet Talaris II, at the heart of the Cadian system, the drop pod started deploying troops of the Thousand Sons, Death Guard, World Eaters and Emperor's Children Legions.[1][2]

The Cadian Shock Troopers of Colonel Stradolsteim and the Space Wolves moved to intercept the Chaotic forces, but their artillery proved useless against the structure...[1][2]

Trivia

  • The diorama was notably worked on by Games Workshop France staff David De Abreu and Bruno Rizzo.[1][3]
  • The English translation of the Drop Pod's name, Griffe du Fléau, would normally be something like Despoiler's Claw, or Claw of the Despoiler (as in, the Claw of Abaddon the Despoiler)[2].
