Space Marines Camouflage Schemes

What are those changes you made there? I have a bit of trouble following the modifications. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 10:57, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

I (1) removed the brackets from the "Drop Troop Camouflage" note from the Fire Angels' camo scheme, (2) added the Howling Griffons' Codex Approved Night World Livery, (3) added the Raptors' Tundra Zone camouflage scheme, and finally (4) added the Red Scorpions' Infiltration camouflage/Ash Zone armour contamination scheme. --Dosjetka (talk) 11:06, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
I see... I think I put those brackets there for a reason, namely because I think Camouflage ist written with a capital letter in the source, effectively making "Drop Troop Camouflage" a valid official term like for example "Codex Grey" that can be linked to. Did you check that this was not the case? Furthermore I think the main source for my confusion is that your inserted images that cannot possibly fit the footnotes/ sources you seem to have copied from another entry. I mean I can rather exclude by simply looking at your pics that they are from the 40K Compendium. So I assume that you should correct that to the right sources/ footnotes. --18:09, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
Well, this is thoroughly embarrassing. I didn't check the source before removing the capital C so I've reverted the spelling to its original form. Thank you for the clarification. With regards to the correct footnote/source attribution, I did indeed simply copy/paste from another entry and forgot about correcting that afterwards. This has now been fixed and should be correct. --Dosjetka (talk) 19:37, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
I had assumed that that was probably what had happened. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 19:49, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

Size of uploaded pictures

Please note that the artwork uploaded to the site should not exceed 100-150kb for each picture (for maps and other detailed objects - 500kb). Please remade your uploaded pictures (via Photoshop for example) and reupload new variants, because 800kb for each picture are too much).--Darkelf77 (talk) 13:26, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

Noted. I'll reupload them in the JPG format, which will compress them. However, compressing them down even further will make them lose picture quality which is, in my opinion, not a good thing. It also begs the question why there is a 2MB upload limit on the upload page and yet there is a 100-150KB/500KB limit being enforced? --Dosjetka (talk) 13:31, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. The rules are in the process of changing now, so there may be complications and the main help articles may be outdated. See here--Darkelf77 (talk) 13:49, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
Re:2MB limit vs recommended size. This is a preset by the software. We say try to find a good compromise between quality and size. Random example: It is not necessary to upload all pictures in maximum size like wallpaper size if their only use is 200px thumbnail in an article. So common sense should be applied. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 18:11, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
