Vandt
Vandt was the Imperial Commander of Sirene Primal, when the secessionist Sirene Monarch began a rebellion against the Imperium's rule of the world.[1]
History
Sirene Primal martial sect warriors joined the rebellion, as they had long chafed under the Imperium, and this greatly aided the Monarch. As the warriors were highly respected in Sirene's culture, the rest of the population rebelled as well and its inexperienced PDF did not resist either. This led Vandt to be ousted as Sirene Primal's ruler and he was replaced by the Monarch. It is not known what became of Vandt afterwards, but several Astra Militarum Regiments were sent to reclaim the world. During the war's 4th year, the Inquisitor Obodiah Roth discovered that the Monarch was a Genestealer Cultist and the Regiments soon located and killed the corrupted Cult leader. However it was too late, as the Cult had successfully drawn a massive Hive Fleet to Sirene. Inquisitor Roth then urged the Imperial Navy fleet above the world to retreat, after evacuating all senior officers and dignitaries from the world. It would do so, before the Hive Fleet consumed Sirene.[1]
