Varrigan is an Ordo Xenos Lord Inquisitor.[1]

History
In M42, he was part of an Inquisitorial Tribunal that was charged with determining if the execution of the Radical Helynna Valeria was just. Along with his two fellow Inquisitors, Cataclis and Derval Bossch, they brought Valeria's executioner, Katarinya Greyfax, before them to explain her reasons for killing the Radical Inquisitor. Though the Tribunal was hidden from the Puritan's eyes, such an investigation usually had its three members represent one of the three major Ordos. Because of this, Greyfax was able to correctly guess the Tribunal's identities, due to various observations she had made. She correctly deducted Varrigan was there first, due to the fact that his Interrogator, Rapal Staccata, was conducting Greyfax's interview, on the Tribunal's behalf.[1]
