Verronus is a Hive World of the Imperium.[1b]
In the year 249.M40 Verronus, which was once a leading world of the sector and the seat of its power, finally falls to centuries of slow decline and the last power systems supplying the hives gives out. Cults, witches and abominations which had only barely been held in check by the defenders of the Imperium, now run rampant. All that remains the once proud hive world is now anarchy, famine and a long night of living nightmare. [1b]
In 656.M40 the Hadex Anomaly springs into being, swallowing the world of Verronus. It is believed the Hadex Anomaly was created by dark rites performed by the warped souls living on the planet. [1c]
