Vespertine Guard

The Vespertine Guard were among those Astra Militarum Regiments that were created by the Imperium, during the Great Scouring.[1]
History
Like all those created at that time, the Vespertine Guard's zealous Guardsmen were eager to prove their loyalty to the Imperium and sought revenge against the Traitors of the Horus Heresy. They would be among those who fought against the Chaos forces of the Chaos Lord Morloth, during the Great Scouring. As the battle raged, it was eleven thousand of the Vespertine's guns that finally destroyed Morloth's Chaos Terminator retinue, a deed which was later commemorated in a scroll of honour.[1]
