Vigilantus
Vigilantus was a Freeblade Knight who stood vigil over Dalanthe in 888.M39, after hearing how all the children on the Imperium Agri World had begun telling stories of a being called the Gorehaunter. Though he was derided by Dalanthe's adult citizens who did not believe the children's stories, the Freeblade stood watch for three long months, until a Daemonic Lord of Skulls finally breached the Warp and appeared on the Agri World. It soon began rampaging through Dalanthe's population, until Vigilantus stood in its way and, though his suit was torn apart by the Lord of Skulls, the Freeblade was able to decapitate the Daemon Engine as his last act. His sacrifice banished the Gorehaunter back to the Warp for a thousand years[1] and Vigilantus has become famously known, even millennia later, for slaying the Lord of Skulls.[2]
