Viola von Castellan
Viola von Castellan is the Seneschal of the House von Castellan Rogue Trader House, which is led by her older brother Cleander von Castellan.[1]
History
They are both scions of a wealthy Xarxis Plethis aristocratic family[1], whose estate was sold by Cleander after he inherited his family's Warrant of Trade. He used the resources to buy a starship and began his career as a merchant[2] and Viola became his Seneschal[1]. However Cleander's travels led him to encounter no less than four non-Imperial worlds, with which he opened exclusive trade negotiations. It was at this point, though, that Inquisitor Covenant of the Ordo Malleus caught up with him. In order to avoid being punished for failing to disclose the whereabouts of the Xenos worlds, Cleander signed an agreement that pledged himself and his ship to Covenant[2]. The arraignment between them also puts House von Castellan's staff and resources at the Inquisitor's command if need be. And since she serves as the House's Seneschal, Viola assists Covenant as well, when the Inquisitor calls upon her brother for aid.[1]
