Vogel is a Rogue Trader.[1a]

History

He is willing to find and sell Chaos artefacts to the highest bidder.[1a] Vogel also does business with Heretics[1b] and Pirates, even when he knows they will use his goods to do harm against the Imperium.[1c] An example of this, is when Vogel attempted to destroy a tactical nuclear missile on an Imperial world, in order to ensure his dealings with heretics there were hidden from its authorities. However, this put him in conflict with Inquisitor Bell, who sought to launch the nuke at the world's southern continent to destroy the Heretics instead.[1b]

The two later clashed again, in the Imperial Vamhorn Stadium, when Vogel sold an Archeotech shield generator to the Pirate leader Red Dog. This was despite knowing that Red Dog intended to use it to seal off and take control of the city the stadium was located in. But the Rogue Trader will not be paid by the Pirate leader, until the Archeotech was finished being installed in the stadium and was operational. As this is occurring, the shield generator is being watched over by Vogel's hired thug Krystis, and several of Red Dog's pirates. Inquisitor Bell though, knows about the Pirate leader's plans and he is racing to stop the shield generator from being activated.[1c]

Trivia

Vogel, Bell, Red Dog and Krystis were created by the Games Workshop employee Stephen Pearson.[1c]
