Void munitions
Void munitions were a type of Vortex Weaponry used by the Dreadwing of the First Legion during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1a]
These Exotic weapons were most often found in the form of specialized tank and artillery shells used by the various war-engines of Wing. Smaller versions could be discharged from the barrel’s of Vindicator siege tanks fitted with massive Thunderer cannons. Where they would erupt into a swirling vortex’s that could tear huge chunks from Ferrocrete fortifications, before detonating in purple-white impulsions that could suck anything nearby into the never-realm of the Warp.[1a]
While rarer and much larger void shells could be fired from the colossal Dreadhammer Cannon’s of Typhon Heavy Siege Tanks. Even in small numbers, these weapons were easily capable of breaching into titanic mountain strongholds.[1b]
Their Technology was known to draw upon the same ancient Terran knowledge as the Annihilator Cannons.[1a]
