Vorsanii Aridity

The Vorsanii Aridity is a region of the planet Kalidar IV that lies near Hive Modulus and features a number of lorelei mines.^[1]

History

By the time of the Kalidar War, a warband of orks had made one of the abandoned mineheads their base of operations, leading sorties in bikes and buggies to harass Imperial forces in the region. However, in 289.397.M41 an Astra Militarum taskforce was sent to eliminate the warband. Imperial tanks (most notably the Baneblade Mars Triumphant) supported by a platoon of Atraxian heavy infantry were able to kill most of the orks and destroy their vehicles, while a Savlar detachment infiltrated the mine itself and detonated an atomic device. This collapsed the mineshaft, preventing the orks from using it again.^[1]
