Vox-Thieves are Imperial devices that create audio recordings, when activated.[1]
Description
Vox-Thieves can be directly used by a user or hidden in a particular area to pick up, store and analyse both vox and data transmissions. If the transmission is heavily encrypted, the Vox-Thief needs to further analyse the signal to break the encryption. Short-range Vox-Thieves are the size of a dataslate and have a range of two to three kilometres. Long-range devices are backpack-sized, have a powerful inbuilt cogitator and a range of up to 50 kilometres. These ranges are dependant on local conditions and can be drastically reduced.[2]
