The War Lions are a Space Marine Chapter.[1]
Contents
History
They are a Codex Chapter, apart from the fact that one of their founding worlds is an Adeptus Mechanicus Forge World. The War Lions have greater access to the Mechanicus' technology because of this and as a result, the Chapter likes to have lots of tanks in their armoury. They can also maintain a large number of Dreadnoughts, compared to other Chapters, as well and the War Lions' Chapter Masters can even deploy Dreadnoughts as their Honour Guard.[1]
Trivia
The War Lions were created by the Games Workshop employee Gav Thorpe and they appeared in White Dwarf 210 (UK).[1]
