War of Recovery

The War of Recovery was an 104.M36 Adeptus Mechanicus expedition, which began after technological wonders were rumoured to have been sighted on the planets[1] of the Mortuam Chain System.[3]
Hoping STCs could be recovered, the Mechanicus launched an expedition[1] in which twelve Knightly Houses were involved,[2] including House Taranis.[3] Their efforts to do so, escalated into a war against[1] Xenos warlords,[3] that lasted over a century. Aided by the weaponry they recovered there, the Mechanicus' forces managed to free Human colonists in the Mortuam Chain System from Xenos occupation. Also several first generation STC copies were found and returned to Mars for evaluation.[1]
