Warp Tunnel

The Warp Tunnel is an artifact that was designed to allow long-distance travel by opening a tunnel through the warp. Unfortunately, its time inside a Tyranid hive ship has left it decayed, and it malfunctions when activated. Instead of creating a stable tunnel, it opens a portal into the heart of a warp storm and drags itself and anyone nearby, to their death in the Warp.^[1]

It is unclear what the Warp Tunnel was, as there are many technologies that could be described as a long-distance tunnel through the warp. Some possibilities including one of the myriad artefacts which could accessed the Webway, or a lost technology akin to a Warp Gate.
