Watch Fortress
Watch Fortresses are fortresses, command stations, and training facilities utilized by the Deathwatch. These are spread throughout the realm of the Imperium.[1]
A Watch Fortress is a self-sustained facility capable of accommodating many Kill-teams. Equipped with Astropaths, Navigators, fleet docks, training facilities, and even forges, many are also home to captured xenos relics used for study.[3] Many Watch Fortresses also maintain a cache of Xenos and forbidden weaponry known as a Black Vault.[8b]
Watch Fortresses differ in size and function, no two being quite the same. Some are artificial rings orbiting planets while others resemble planetoids or small moons. Most Watch Fortresses are inert, guarding vital points of strategic interest to the Imperium. A number, the Watch Fortress Furor Shield among them, are mobile thanks to massive plasma engines, which constitute a third of the station's mass. These are even capable of warp travel.[11]
A Watch Fortress differs from a Watch Station in that while Watch Fortresses are large complexes and relatively rare, Watch Stations are far more numerous and smaller facilities.[3]

- Corvas Vault
- Damaroth — A vast artificial ring around a glowing moon.[4]
- Doombreak — Located on the border between Segmentum Solar and Segmentum Tempestus.[6b]
- Ebon Vale[9]
- Eye of Damocles — Located in Ultima Segmentum. Watches over the Imperium's borders with the T'au Empire.[6a]
- Eye of Octos[6c]
- Fort Ajax[6c]
- Fort Excalibris — Located in Segmentum Obscurus.[6b]
- Fort Nexus — Located in the Ultima Segmentum.[6b]
- Fort Nullifact[6c]
- Fort Obsidus — Located in Segmentum Solar.[6b]
- Fort Prescience — Primary Watch Fortress located in Segmentum Tempestus.[6b]
- Fort Pykman — Located in the Ghoul Stars of Ultima Segmentum.[6b]
- Fort Starshield
- Fort Volossia — Deathwatch forces stationed there were overrun by legions of Necron led by Overlord Zhanatar.[6c]
- Furor Shield — Located in Ultima Segmentum and oversees the Ork and Tyranid infested Octarius Sector.[6a]

- Haltmoat — Located in Segmentum Obscurus.[6b]
- Indomitus Point — Located in Ultima Segmentum.[6b]
- Keep Extremis — Located in Segmentum Obscurus.[6b]
- Mortguard — Located in the Ultima Segmentum.[6b][8\]
- Null Breach — Located in Segmentum Solar.[6b]

- Onyx Patrol — Mobile fleet that hunts Craftworlds in Segmentum Solar.[6a]
- Praefex Venatoris — Primary Watch Fortress that watches over the Dark Eldar Webway Portals in Segmentum Obscurus.[6a]
- Ramugan — Close to the Inquisition substation also called Ramugan. Both are located near the Eye of Terror.[5]

- Talasa Prime — Primary Watch Fortress and the Capital of the Deathwatch.[6a]
- Watch Fortress Erioch — Ramilles Class Star-fort that is located in Ultima Segmentum's Jericho Reach.[1]
- Watcher Keep — Primary Watch Fortress located on the border between Segmentum Pacificus and Segmentum Tempestus.[6b]
- Zarabek — Watch Fortress that formerly belonged to the Muhlari Xenos species, before they were destroyed by the Deathwatch.[2]
