Xanatros Purgation
The Xanatros Purgation was a military action taken against Genestealer Cults upon the world Xanatros.[1a]
The world initially thought it was fighting against secessionist uprising but it would be revealed the world was infested by Genestealers. Three Mordian Iron Guard Regiments and a company of Doom Legion would battle the Genestealer Cults resulting in the three Mordian regiments being almost entirely wiped out and the Space Marines taking unspecified casualties.[1a]
Inquisitor Grendyl would have some degree of interest in this. Iven Rannick, who was an explicator in the Inquisitor's service at the time, would oversee Sergeant-Major Vincent Morrow's dispatch planetside to act as the Inquisitor's eyes and ears. Gurry "Brunt" Cernick would also accompany Morrow.[1b]
