Yasan Sector
The Yasan Sector is a Sector of Imperial space that contains the White Scars Chapter's Homeworld, Chogoris.[1] It lies near the southern regions of the Maelstrom Zone.[3]
History
The sector was occupied by both followers of Horus and Dark Eldar raiders during the chaos of the Horus Heresy. During the Great Scouring, the White Scars battled both the traitors and Dark Eldar to liberate the Sector. In one such battle, Jaghatai Khan was thought lost within the Webway.[1]
In the wake of the Great Rift's creation, the Sector is now infested by the Red Corsairs and the Gartuli and Thaxis Systems have fallen to them. While the White Scars have scoured most of the Red Corsairs forces from their Homeworld, much of the Chogoris System is still afflicted by the Traitors.[2] In addition, the Yasan Sector lies close to the Red Corsairs' domain: the great Warp Storm known as The Maelstrom. Although the Yasan Sector's higher position in the galactic plane has historically spared it from the worst of the Maelstrom's influence, the warp storm has grown in size due to the presence of the Great Rift, resulting in a number of worlds of the Yasan Sector being afflicted by the tides of Chaos. This has come in the form of widespread mutation and Daemonic incursions.[3]
