Yuxa System
The Yuxa System is a solar system in the Eastern Fringe.[2b]
Overview
Eleven planets orbit the star Yuxa. Of those, only the fungal ocean world Phaedra and bloated gas giant Scitalyss harbor intelligent life, in the latter restricted to the warrens of its corroding orbital skyhive Scitalyss-Altus.[1]
Multiple conflicts have taken place in the Yuxa System. Scitalyss-Altus has changed hands several times, most recently falling under the control of the Illumismatic Order of the Ever-Turning Cog.[1] After originally being settled and, subsequently, pacified in ages past by the Imperium of Man,[2c] Phaedra saw fresh conflict after being designated as the nineteenth parallel of the Damocles Gulf by the Tau Empire.[1] A diplomatic mission dispatched to the system, the Whispertide Concordance, found Imperial control profoundly frayed. Disastrous efforts to win over the population of Scitalyss lead to the planet being marked as non-viable, while on Phaedra the mission devolved into the Wintertide Concordance insurgency.[1][2a]
After nearly a century of low-level conflict on Phaedra the rebellion died out, as did most Imperial and Tau Empire forces, leaving the system nigh-abandoned as a Warp Storm was poised to break.[3]
