Cognis Weapons are a type of weapon used by Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii. While Cognis Weapons may be superficially similar to that used by the rest of the Imperium, they differ in that their Machine Spirits have been permanently awakened by the rites of the Omnissiah; when the wielder is unable to give their full concentration, the weapon's spirit will take over.[1]
