The Raven Interceptor was a fighter aircraft used by the Imperialis Armada[1] and the Space Marine Legions[2a] during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1][2a]
Description
Described as both raptor-like[2d] and sleek,[2a] the Raven Interceptor is armed with beam weaponry. Its armoured hull consists of ceramite and plastic. The Raven Interceptor is powered by a fusion core, which, upon destruction of the fighter, leaves behind radioactive debris. History
During the Battle of Istvaan III, Raven Interceptors were used to destroy the orbital structures of the Istvaanian rebels in the opening phase of the battle.[2b] Later, a number of Interceptors were tasked to shoot down the Thunderhawk of Saul Tarvitz,[2c] but were themselves annihilated by the guns of the Eisenstein.[2d]
