Mining Laser, Dvarlock pattern
Mining Lasers are tools used for breaching tunnels in the mining process.[1] In battle they can break through rocks and power armour with equal success.[3]
Overview
A mining laser can be highly effective when modified and used as a weapon, especially by irregular forces such as the Genestealer Cults. For example, Dvarlock-pattern Mining Laser, founded and identified by Tempestor Gulack of the Kappic Eagles, have been modified so it can blast the hole through a metres-thick bulkhead with a single pull of a trigger. It also features three hand-grips, indicating its use in combination with a tertia pattern servo-arm.[1]
Heavy Mining Laser
The Heavy Mining Laser is a heavier variant of the standard version, used on Goliath Rockgrinders.[2]
