Overview

Techmarine servo-arm.[7]

Manipulator mechadendrites such as these are possibly the most common form of mechadendrite. This artificial extra limb is commonly seen being used by Enginseers working repairing damaged vehicles on the battlefield.[4] Techmarines use their servo-arms in a similar manners. A servo-arm can also be used as a devastating weapon in close combat.[1] In order for an Astartes to use one effectively their armour requires more powerful gyro-stabilizers than standard Astartes Power Armour. Techmarines can lift an entire side of a Rhino APC to repair a tread.[8] They are powerful mechanical tools with the strength to lift entire battle tanks off the ground, or with the dexterity to deftly fix the smallest components or solder shut the most minute wounds in a vehicle’s flank.[2]

These powerful manipulators are not subtle instruments. Attempting to use one to type on a data-slate or handle delicate object will more than likely end with the object or equipment being dropped, smashed, or otherwise ruined.[4]

Servitors are also commonly equipped with industrial servo-arms to aid in various menial labours, such as carrying Departmento Munitorum ammo crates.[6]
