Torsion Cannon

Kataphron Battle Servitor with Torsion Cannon
Torsion Cannons are a type of weapon used by the Adeptus Mechanicus.[1]
Mounted on Kataphron Battle Servitors, the tri-sectional barrel of the torsion cannon is amongst the holiest of Mars’ weapon technologies. When energised, it sends out three synchronous gaol-fields that hold sections of the target in place. As the sections of the cannon’s barrel turn counter to one another, the matter grasped in the fields is mercilessly twisted, subjected to an impossible torque that rips, buckles and ruins alien monstrosities and enemy war engines alike.[1]
Known Patterns
- Silva Tenebris Torsion Cannon - An unnamed template of the Torsion Cannon was discovered by the Explorators of the Caestus Metalican expedition, deep within the Tomb World upon Silva Tenebris, its creators unclear. It is lightweight and compact enough that a Techpriest is capable of mounting one of them on either side, held aloft by mechadendrites, while retaining the use of their primary hands and arms for other weapons.[2]
