Silva Tenebris was a lost colony world settled in the early years of the Imperium and a Necron Tomb World. The early Imperial settlers that lived here have long since perished after their attempted excavation of the Necron tombs. The uninhabited world was rediscovered in M41 and prompted 2 subsequent expeditions to the world, both in search of archaeotech and xenos technology.[2]
The second and final expedition was lead by Magos Dominus Faustinius to salvage any ancient technology located on the world.[1] Ultimately, this final expedition would see the world destroyed under orders of Exterminatus.[3]

History
The Tomb World was once ruled ruled by Overlord Szaregon of the Szaregon Dynasty. Alongside the Overlord, the ruling court of the planet included the Royal Vizier Mhelob, Lord Astronomer Ekropis, Grand Architect Neftusk, and Void Admiral Agrolekh. There is also a small bastion of Flayed Ones lead by the Corrupted King Ubjao.[2]
Imperial settlers arrived and began colonizing the planet in the early days of the Imperium. St Eckart's Hope was one of these now vanished settlements on the world. This colony was eventually wiped out after they began excavating the buried Necron tombs. This inadvertently began the awakening sequence of the Tomb World.[2]
In M41, Tech-Priest Rhesak's expedition would arrive and begin delving into the Necron Tombs. They would catalogue the various Necron war-forms encountered. For unspecified reasons, Rhesak would lock this data using synthetic proximity encryptions. The information he compiled on the Necron type would only unlock when near the respective Necron war-forms. Rhesak's exploratory mission eventually failed. His exploratory fleet and its members all met their ultimate demise at the hands of the Necron.[2]
Before perishing, Rhesak would send an astropathic message to Mars regarding the planet's rediscovery and potential for archaeotech or STC fragments. Mars received this message some time later and prompted the subsequent salvage and exploration mission. Magos Dominus Faustinius was placed in command of the mission and the Ark Mechanicus vessel Caestus Metalican. Rhesak's data about the Necrons of this world would be uncovered throughout Faustinius's various missions on the world. Although the data proved helpful, the synthetic proximity encryption was irksome to the expedition due to only allowing access the helpful information after the respective Necron war-forms were engaged.[2]
Faustinius' expedition to the world ultimately ended with Exterminatus, thus untold amounts of xenos knowledge and technology was utterly obliterated.[3] As advised by Lector-Dogmatic Videx, Magos Dominus Faustinius would order a mission to place explosive charges around the power generators beneath the tomb of Neftusk. Videx would summon several Metalican warship to rain down the Omnissiah's fury on the vulnerable target. The explosion from the generators caused a chain reaction through the crust and mantle of Silva Tenebris. The planet tore itself apart in a seismic cataclysm.[2]
