Surestrike Pattern Power Axe[2a]
The Power Axe is a type of Power Weapon most commonly used by Space Marines. Like the Power Sword when activated the blade becomes surrounded in an azure disruptive energy field, allowing the axe to shear through metal and ceramite easily.[1]
Known Patterns
Imperial
- Carsoran Power Axe: Used by the Sons of Horus[9]
- Castellan Axe: Used by the Adeptus Custodes
- Cthonian Pattern: Used by the Sons of Horus[3]
- Giantkiller Pattern: A sub-type pattern of Frost Axe used exclusively by the Space Wolves[6]
- Heraspex Pattern[2]
- Legatine Axes: Used by Ultramarines Suzerain Invictarus squads during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy era
- Loi-pattern Power Axe: A two handed Loi model two-handed power axe about 1.5 metres in length.[12]
- Mars-Proteus Pattern Glaive-Axe: Common among the Legiones Astartes during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy era[4]
- Mezoa-pattern Power Axe: A common type of two-handed power axe.[12]
- Omnisian Axe: An Omnissian weapon, often with a saw-toothed blade of the power axe granted to most devoted followers of the Machine God who have proven their faith to the Omnissiah.[5]
- Saturnine War Axe: Used by Saturnine Terminators[10]
- Surestrike Pattern
