Combat Blades are a common back-up close combat weapon, used by warriors across the Imperium. Knives are used by a variety of human forces, such as the Imperial Guard and Space Marines,[14] as well as their Traitor Guardsmen and Chaos Space Marine counterparts.

Space Marine Combat Knife[6]

The Astartes Combat Knife is a close combat weapon used by all Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines.[2]

Only the great Astartes warriors would call this formidable weapon a mere knife - if it were not for the too-wide grip, humans could use these impressive blades as swords. Tough and thick, these knives are designed for in-close fighting and are often the last weapon a Space Marine will use when all others have run out of ammunition or power.[1] The blade of a combat knife is monomolecular,[7] its edges made out of Hypersteel.[8]

Imperial Guard Combat Knife

Used by the Imperial Guard.[9] Also referred to as Survival Knives, these edged weapons sometimes also double as attachable Lasgun bayonets.[10]
