Cerastus Pattern Knights are an older type of Imperial Knight used during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]

History
It is believed that the Cerastus Pattern was originally designed during the Age of Strife not as protectors but as savage conquerors and tools of destruction. Many types were produced, but it is the Lancer that is held in high esteem by the more impetuous Knight Houses.[2]
