The Key of Infinity, known to the Eldar as the Well of Night[2a], is a powerful Necron time manipulation device.[1a]
History
Constructed in the Webway by the Hyksos Dynasty under Phaeron Setekh in the distant past, the device was deemed too dangerous by the Triarch and was the Hyksos were sealed away.[1b] In M41, Ahzek Ahriman and his cabal reawaken Setekh and try to use the Key to reverse the effects of the Pyrodomon.[1a] Setekh betrays Ahriman, and the two struggle over for control of the Key.[1b] Both use the Key to travel into the past[2b], though in the end Ahriman prevails over the Phaeron and uses the Key to travel back to before the Pyrdomon's spread and contains it. In the new timeline created by Ahriman, the Key, Setekh, and Hyksos no longer exist.[2c]
