Template:ChaPort Renegade Chapters are those who turn their backs on the Imperium. Around fifty Chapters have become renegades for a large number of reasons, be it mutations in geneseed, the Chapters personal beliefs or the committing of heretical acts. They need not necessarily turn to Chaos, however the majority of the renegades seem to have done so. See also Excommunicate Traitoris.
