Moebian Steel
Moebian Steel is a unique alloy of metal created on Atoma Prime that is stronger and more durable than standard steel. It is used in the manufacturing of Leman Russ Battle Tank armour[1a] and some other body armours within Hive Tertium's manufactoria.
Propaganda that Tertium still produces Moebian Steel is pervasive throughout the hive city. Moebian Armoured regiments across the Imperium claim that the Moebian Steel of their tank hulls were blessed by the Emperor himself.[2]
The last time Moebian Steel was known to be produced was during the long ago wars of Saint Messelina, a renowned saint of the Moebian Domain. The secrets of forging Moebian Steel have been lost since then, until recently. A mysterious informant, designated as "Swagger", contacted Inquisitor Grendyl's warband after obtaining the location of a lost foundryplex within the hive city that held the secrets of forging Moebian Steel.[1b][3]
Technoarcheologist Hadron Omega-7-7 has since been attempting to recreate the process discovered on a larger scale with the primary smelter complex of Metalfab 36. Enginseer Kayex-8 has been aiding her in these experiments.[1c]
