A Wraithcannon

A Wraithcannon is an Eldar vortex weapon of deadly potency similar to the D-Cannon.[1]

Overview

Wielded by a Wraithguard and powered by the psychic energy of its spirit stone, the Wraithcannon opens a small temporary rift between real and warp space, tearing apart its target as it is torn between different dimensions. However, unlike the D-Cannon the Wraithcannon is more tightly controlled and accurate.[1][2] Wraithcannons are generally so fiendish that no mortal (only Wraithguard) could wield them[4], but in practice Eldar Corsairs sometimes bear them into battle.

Those unfortunate troops struck by a Wraithcannon might be slain instantly, regardless of how mighty they are nor may the thickest of armour save them. Those more fortunate may find themselves randomly displaced across the battlefield. Nor does the thickest of armour of vehicles or fortifications offer protection, as the wraithcannon penetrates through their defenses when struck.[1]

Heavy Wraithcannon

The Heavy Wraithcannon is an enlarged version of the standard Wraithcannon wielded by colossal Wraithknights.[3]
