Luminous Host
The Luminous Host were the 246th Cohort of the Imperium's Solar Auxilia, during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1a]
History
Sworn to serve the Blood Angels Legion, by ancestral bonds and sworn oaths, the Host were among the Imperial forces that defended the Ultramarines' Imperium Secundus, during the Horus Heresy. They would later be tasked with aiding the Ultramarines' efforts to replenish the losses they suffered in the Betrayal at Calth. This led several of the Luminous Hosts' Regiments to be dispatched to recover the Legion's Gene-seed that was stored on Talassar, with the Gilded Sentinels Solar Auxilia and Judiciar Aster Crohne's Blood Angels forces. However by then, the world was in rebellion, after the Night Lords had invaded Talassar and turned some of its population against the Imperium.[1a] Despite the Traitor Legion's efforts though, the Blood Angels succeeded in reclaiming the Gene-seed from Velx City's Castrum Velx fortress.[1b]
